Lady Roadrunners Pick Up Sixth Win

At home on Tuesday evening at The Armory, the Mountain Gate Community College Lady Roadrunners (6-11) defeated the Appalachian Bible College Lady Warriors 61-35 for the teams sixth victory of the season. 

After dropping three of their last four games, the Lady Roadrunners were backed by a set of player scoring in double figures. Brooke Davis led

Brooke Davis led all scorers with a game-high 17 points, while Julie Agee scored 14, and Cristi Persinger added 13. 

Despite falling behind double digits early, the Lady Warriors got back in the game within two points in the second quarter. 

In the second half, the Lady Roadrunners defense picked it up and held the Lady Warriors to just 12 points total. 

With a 43-31 lead heading into the final quarter, the Lady Roadrunners scored 14 straight points to open the period to take a commanding 57-31 lead.

The Lady Roadrunners are at Northern Virginia Community College this evening.
