Professional Golf has not been at The Greenbrier since September of 2019.
It was on that date that at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier that Joaquin Niemann won the event with a -21 over/under.
Four years later, pro golf will be returning, only this time it’ll be LIV Golf.
If you’re not too familiar with LIV Golf, they are new to the professional golf tour.
The league was created in 2021 and is financed by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.
LIV Golf is much different compared to the PGA.
The format for LIV Golf;
12 teams going headed to head all season.
48 players.
54 holes (each tournament has three rounds).

Even though there are teams, you still compete at the individual level, but you also compete for your team for points and prize money.
See livgolf.com for more about the league, as well as to purchase event tickets, including the 2023 event at The Greenbrier.
