Cheeze Claus Returns
Local businessman James “Cheeze” Smith will be participating again this year in the area Christmas parades to provide toys and bicycles for youngsters. “Cheeze Claus” will ride in parades in Covington, Clifton Forge, Iron Gate, Bath County and Millboro to hand out toys to children. Cheeze purchases the toys with proceeds from junked cars given to him by area residents. “I turn junk into joy,” Cheeze said Friday. “That is why the area people give me their junked cars and I don’t have to purchase them.” He said he enjoys giving back to the community and expressed his appreciation to area residents.
