II. CRISIS MANAGEMENT PLAN
  Approved division-wide crisis management plan and resource guide.

III BCHS Bookkeeper Position
  Authorized the Superintendent to fill the open bookkeeper position at BCHS following
  consultation with the Business Manager and Principal. The appointment will be ratified at the
  next Board meeting.

Meeting Action

  • Approved the FY2023-2024 budget development calendar
  • Approved the state educator bonus and requesting of funds at the next Board of Supervisors meeting. Full bonuses will be provided to all full-time contracted employees of BCPS. Any long-term substitute who is pursuing licensure and has been the only teacher for a classroom since school started who possesses a letter of intent to hire pending licensure will receive the full bonus. Part-time contracted teachers will receive 50% of the bonus. Persons receiving the bonus must have been employed with BCPS on October 31, 2022.
  • Approved the overnight field trip for the Beta Club State Convention in Hampton, VA.
  • Approved designating two parking spots for F.C. Plecker & Sons in the new parking lot in
    appreciation for their gracious donation of sod for the baseball infield through the end of
    calendar 2023.
