The Town Council of Clifton Forge recently approved extra space for the Clifton Forge Shrine Club to utilize during its 51st Fall Foliage Festival, space along Main Street in front of The Historic Masonic Theatre.
As early as Thurs. evening on Oct. 13, vendors from out of town and area vendors were already setting up their tents and tables while others were strategically parking their concession vehicles along Ridgeway St. and Main St. in Clifton Forge.
The extra space that the Council approved had been utilized before noon on Fri., Oct. 14, the first day of the Fall Foliage Festival.
The area was the south side of Main Street across from the Historic Masonic Theatre where tents, tables and chairs had been set up, rendering a portion of Main Street as one-way for traffic traveling west.
Prior to Oct. 14, it was confirmed that all of the vendor slots that are sold to vendors by the Clifton Forge Shrine Club had been reserved. Traffic was heavy before noon in the downtown area prior to the official start of the festival.
