8-26-22 Blacksburg Officer Involved Shooting

The Virginia State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, at the request of Blacksburg Police Department is investigating an Officer Involved Shooting which occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning.

Blacksburg Police Department released initial information on the incident, and the Virginia State Police has no comment at this time. Investigators are processing the scene and are working to make next-of-kin notification.
