Deputy Inspector General Corrine Louden and Quality Assurance Manager Eris Jones have earned the Certified Internal Auditor certification, bolstering their skills to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth. The Office of the State Inspector General staff recently obtained the certification as members of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
“It is an honor to have such dedicated staff that take advantage of the opportunities offered them, hone their skills and enrich the agency’s knowledge and integrity by obtaining certifications,” said State Inspector General Michael C. Westfall. “Their achievements benefit OSIG and those who we serve.”
IIA offers educational programs and certifications that sharpen an auditor’s knowledge and skills needed to carry on the responsibilities of the profession. There are over 170,000 auditors in more than 170 countries that have earned the CIA certification, with now seven OSIG staff part of that group.
