Sharon Louise Sykes Craft, age 75, of 4105 Firehouse Circle, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany.
She was born August 28, 1946 in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Lloyd Layton Sykes and Margie Roberta Walkup Sykes. She was a hairdresser throughout her life, a member and Sunday school teacher at Longdale United Methodist Church. She was an avid fan of WVU and loved watching her family play sports.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville “Bub” Sykes and Edward “Ed” Sykes; and grandmother, Bonnie Walkup.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Lee Craft of Clifton Forge; two sons, Alan Scott Craft and wife Staci of Clifton Forge and Christopher Lee Craft and wife Melisa of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Duane “Danny” Sykes and wife Angelia, Michael Sykes and wife Ginger, Doug Sykes and wife Cindy, David Sykes and wife Jane; three grandchildren, Mason Freels Craft, Samuel Scott Craft, Everett Lloyd Craft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lester Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
