Brian Hayden Humphries, age 44, of 115 Sugartree Lane, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem.
Brian was born November 30, 1977 in Alleghany County, Virginia to Ronnie Hayden Humphries and Sandra Faye Brookman Humphries. He was a laborer for Carris Plastics. He was a social butterfly, was friendly to be around, and liked ducks.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvis and Elsie Brookman and Wallace and Bessie Humphries; an aunt, Lynn Wright; and an uncle, Alvis Brookman.
He is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Sandy Humphries of Covington; a daughter, Victoria Humphries and fiancé, Tyler Flack of Clifton Forge; two sons, Zachary Humphries and wife Brittany of Daleville, Dakota Bowen and fiancé, Morgan Randozzo of Covington; a sister, Karen Fridley and husband Robert of Covington; two aunts, Barbara Sue Harris and husband, Jerry and Donna Welch and husband Jack; an uncle, Richard Brookman and wife, Carol; three grandchildren, Marley-Ray Flack, Malani Bowen, and Darci Bowen; a niece, Kaylyn and a nephew, Hayden; special friends, Shirley Robertson, Harold Craft, and Bubba Wolfe; and his fiancé, Angel Marie Bowen.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Rev. Raymond Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Covington. Pallbearers will be Timmy Harris, Chad Humphries, Dubbie Humphries, Bubba Wolfe, Lewis Humphries, Rob Fridley, and Travis Craft. Alternate pallbearers are Walker Humphries and Dakota Bowen. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
