Alleghany High School FCCLA kept sunshine in their pockets all the way through to the state conference at Virginia Beach, VA. Pictured above from left to right: Upper; Allison Thompson (11), Mason Tidd (11), Caydance Ramsey (12, Ashtyn Bishop (12), Emily Cave (Advisor), Payton Reynolds (12), Rylee Reynolds (12), Zoe Clinebell (9), Emalee Potter (9): Lower; Isabella Hall (12), Susannah Borduas (11), Christian Flenner (10), Abigale Jones (10), Jordan Dingus (10), and Caydin Shinault (10) all competed at state level. From this group Thompson, Tidd, Ramsey, Bishop, Clinebell, Potter, Fleener, Jones, Dingus, Shinault, and the Reynolds sisters will be advancing to the national level. Meaning Alleghany will have 12 students competing in San Diego, CA, this summer! Equally incredible, is this is Cave’s first time being recognized as an advisor during the state conference. There may have been a few bumps (and curbs along the way for this group’s bus), but hard work and mountie pride always rises to the challenge!
